With over 800 million users and an estimated IPO valuation of $100bn , what does this mean for the world and facebook’s employees.  Well firstly this sits Mark Zuckerbergs share in the company at a handsome $28bn  and Cheryl Sandberg’s share will be worth $1.6bn in addition to her $31million a year remuneration (I bet no one is laughing at her for leaving google now).  My favorite story of the IPO is of the graffiti artist who  painted facebooks first ever office. He was offered either a few thousand dollars payment for the job.. or the equivalent in shares. He took the shares… they are now worth $200million !  I personally see facebook going from strength to strength .. with a large focus on facebook commerce stores and more gaming partnerships with firms such as Zynga.

Its the best way to make use of “the cloud” and make sure all your files are accessible all the time from anywhere. Download the dropbox app to your mac , pc or iphone.. and it creates a dropbox folder.. the same as any other folder on your computer except when you pop files in it.. it will sync with any other computers that share the same dropbox folder, . Its really useful for us because we have 2 offices and a lot of our files are shared.. so we just pop everything in there.  Dropbox have just raised $300m at a $5billion company valuation, so expect some big things from the box in the next year

Its a sad day for apple fans. Steve Job  founder and CEO of apple has stepped down after a series of help problems over the pas few years. Tim Cook the COO is taking his place. Jobs managed to take the company from near bankruptcy to being the most powerful company in the tech world.. Will apple survive without him? I think so.. but the share price will certainly take a hit.

If you are a mac lover like me, then im sure you have been anticipating the launch of apples latest operating system OS Lion.  Packed with exciting new features its definitely apples best yet. It was released to the public today (20th July) and ive been getting down and dirty with it, and well…. Its great. 1 of my favorite features it eh auto save function..  no more shutting down without saving or forgetting to save , os lion saves every program and file just how you left it even after shut down. Also when you restart your system it lets you pick up exactly how you left off . Another feature I love is the iOS style app folders.. apple have really tried to merge the best of snow leopard , and the best of iOS +some cool new features and whats more its only £20 ($29.99) and you can install it on as many machines as you want with your apple ID on them at no extra cost.
